Message	Alpine to look chincy, although the quality is supposed to be pretty good. I haven't owned an Alpine head unit in about 6 years now, but I've had several Pioneer LCD head units (AVH-P5700DVD), and they've been great, esp. with my iPod. Again, Diamond Audio, Infinity, and MB Quartz are all great brands as far as speakers. I've had them all, and in comparing the top models in each brand, Diamond Audio smokes the rest. Go with the D661i, it's a component but put together. ~$140 with an ebay vendor. Cheers, JBrobst
